Game Updates from the week that was, brought to you by Worrigee Sports, did you know the springs hotel has its own outdoor pool, its a great place to spend a day or two!
Turf 20-20 - The boys fell just short this week however keep their position in second spot. A few mentions from the game, Matthew Spinks was bowling heat taking 2 for 7 off 2. With the bat Matthew Higham almost won it making 29 off 14 however ran out of partners. This week will decide who goes onto the final
First Grade - The old boys day was a real success, it was a lovely day for cricket with us taking the points against North Nowra. Norths were out for 99, Jake O'Connell that man again taking 4 for 28, well backed up by Nathan Tyrell with 3 for 18. With the bat Blake Munilla (33 off 22) and Dan Gleeson (30 off 34) were looking to have this one finished early setting a cracking pace, and Travis Roth finished it off with 15 off 11. We move up to 3rd on the ladder with only 5 points separating us and LICC, go boys!
Second Grade - Had a really nice win too this week. Norths were out for 94 with man of the match Kuldeep Sing Rana best of the bowlers with 2 for 10. Kuldeep also high scored with the bat with 29 not out, nice Kuldeep! Seconds now move into 3rd on the ladder with 4 points separating them from Batemans Bay.
Third Grade - had a hard game this week, and really it was a great fightback to even get to within 30 of Bomaderrys score. Don Tharaka was best of the bowlers with 2 for 44. With the bat we were 6 for 32 at one stage, but some stubborn batting from Jeevan Hettigoda ( 33 off 86) and Don Tharaka ( 48 off 61) gave us some face back. Thirds are sitting in first on the ladder by 4 points.
Fourth Grade - Our fourths have been really competitive lately with them really finding their groove. Although it was a loss this week there were some great small wins. We set a competitive total again this week with Kyeden Booth ( 53 off 40) ( pictured) and Nathan Darvill ( 50 off 71) ( pictured) the main destroyers. With the ball man of the match Nathan Darvill bowled really well with 1 for 12 off 6. In the end Norths got the runs but they had to fight for it, which is all we ask for any of our teams, to keep fighting until the end of the game. That's the ex servos fighting spirit! Fourths now sit in 4th and will be in the semis.
Juniors
Stage 3 GOLD - Went to the bay with a very undermanned team. Unfortunately they had a loss however with only 6 wickets and playing against the top team it was always going to be tough. Stage 3 Green - had the bye
Stage 2 - Had a top win against Bomaderry. Pat Doran was the best of the bowlers with 2 for 4. chasing 71 for victory we chased that down within 14 overs with Logan Halliday making a great 30 off 23 with 6 boundries, nice Logan!
Stage 1 - Had a great win against bay and basin. With the ball Jesse Moss is back to his best with 2 for 6. Cooper Pitts looks ready for stage 2 next year with 26 off 15 with 4 four and 2 sixes, nice Cooper!
