Game updates from the weekend - Brought to you by Worrigee Sports club - why not head down on Fridays for a feed and the raffle!
First Grade - A hard game for our firsts this weekend, going down to LICC , we fought hard however LICC were just too good this time. Our innings was punctuated by a really great knock from Mick Perry. He carried his bat for a ton and helped us set a decent total. It was by all accounts a masterful innings, nice Mick ! ( pictured). Onto next week now boys.
Second Grade - Our second grade continues to impress with a nice win against Basin. Basin made 89, and we chased that down in 19.30 overs. With the ball that man again Gary Fuss was unplayable, bowling 5 overs for 3 maidens taking 3 for 7 - Nice Gary! With the bat Matty Higham top scored with 41 off 46. Seconds now sit first on the ladder which is a great effort! Go boys!
Third Grade - Our third grade has skipped away by two games on the top of the ladder after what has been a really good year for the boys. After the disappointments of the past few years in finals, Donny Tharaka and the boys are really digging in this year. We set a total of 150 to chase, and Ulladulla could only muster 90. Donny again leading from the front this week with a top spell taking 3 for 7 off 6. With the bat Raj Kumar top scored with 41.
Fourth Grade - The heartbreak hotel, yes we have all been there and the boys checked in this weekend. Setting a competitive score of 206 - sussex got that total in the 38th over. Kyeden Booth top scored with 74 off 48, it was a great innings. With the ball Aiden Freeman was the best of the bowlers with 1 for 27. Although this was a tough loss, we took it to sussex who have only lost one game this year.

What a morning at HDO, its is such a beautiful ground and a real pleasure for the kids to be able to play there. Big thanks to Chris and Jack and the boys for getting the ground all prepared for the juniors. Stage 3 Green batted first and it was so great to see Jeremiah Galvin get his first ever 50! Well done Jerry! Lukas Janes top scored this week with a swashbuckling cameo making 71 off 42 with 8 4s and 4 sixes, one of which went onto the golf course! Jude McPhail was bowling some heat and took 2 for 16, nice Jude! Unfortunately Gold fell short in the run chase, Liam Freeman top scored with 13, Xavier Smith best of the bowlers with green taking 3 for 15. The game was played in great spirits so well done to both teams.
