Weekly Wrap 21.10.23

exservoscc

1st Grade - There were more records broken in 1sts this week than when the CD player was invented. The boys had a big day out at HDO.

The heart and soul of the Ex-Servos, our first-grade captain and favorite son Dan Gleeson (pictured bottom centre) stood up and smashed 110 off 99. It was a masterful innings. Jake O'Connell (pictured left) joined Dan out in the crease and had a blinder, hitting the ball to all areas inside and outside of HDO, making an incredible 131 off 106! He has had a handy first few games for us! The partnership was one that will be remembered for a long time.

We ended up on 373 and Kookas just were never going to get there with Mick Coulter taking 3 for 16 and the rest of the bowlers having tidy spells.

Hold onto your hats everyone as firsts are really rocking this season!

2nd Grade - The good times kept rolling for our second grade out at Bomaderry oval. Making a decent 179 with Nash Connell top scoring with 37, Bomaderry was never in the hunt, falling well short. Andy Wilson is continuing his great form with the ball from last year, taking 4 for 20 off 5, with Gary Fuss also bowling nice heat, taking 3 for 7 off 3.

3rd Grade (pictured top centre) - Our thirds were set a total of 155 to win against Bomaderry, and got in in the 33rd over. With the ball Donny Tharaka (pictured right) led from the front with 5 for 14 off 6, nice Don! Jovan Croese is also proving himself to be a top strike bowler, taking 4 for 29 off 8. With the bat another great innings by Jared Galvin (pictured right) with 75 off 86 led the boys home.

4th Grade - Fourths tasted defeat again his week, however looking onto the following weeks with a few key players back, this should turn around. Our juniors have been getting a lot of experience, and they are getting better each week. We set Sussex a total of 107, with Kyeden Booth in nice form at the moment top scoring with 44. With the ball Myles Condon took 1 for 5 off two.
