Game Updates from the weekend brought to you by Worrigee Sports, where all good sports stop for a drink and a feed.
First Grade - Well this was a very important game for our top grade, and we came through with the goods. Berry made 131 off its rain effected 30 overs with Matty Ganderton the main destroyer with the ball taking 3 for 28 off 5. With the bat Mick Perry who is averaging 66 this season made another classy half century to bring the boys home ( 54 not out) . Two rounds to go and we sit 3rd with 1st and 2nd on the ladder having a bye this week.
Second Grade - washed out
Third Grade - It was the story of the young bucks this week with third grade. Ollie Ellery was on fire with the ball taking 4 for 11, and was well backed up by Jovan Croese with 3 for 11. Chasing 69 for victory we got that in 16.20 overs with Nicklesh Singh highest scorer with 27. Good work guys! Thirds are top of the ladder with two rounds left
Fourth Grade - had a bye
Juniors
Stage 3 Green - had a nice win against Bomaderry, the green team only had 7 players but that was no matter. It was a quick game with us being bowled out for 97 in the 16th over. Xavier Smith top scored with 38 off 41. in reply we had bomaderry all out for 42, with Lukas Janes bowling great variety taking 3 for 9 off 3.20 overs.
Stage 2 - ( Pictured) The last game of the season. Unfortunately a loss this week but its been a great year for stage 2. We made 48 with Logan Halliday top scoring with 10, Berry chased that down in the 13th over. We thank Catherine Cross for again putting up her hand to coach this year. We are the only club in the district to have two female coaches and we are very proud of them!
Stage 1 - ( pictured) Stage 1 has had a cracker of a season, finishing on top of the ladder! We made 107 on saturday and got Berry out for 106 so it was a tight game to end the season. Archie Richard top scoring with 14. With the ball Jesse Moss that name again took 3 for 7.
Not only did we finish top of the ladder, we also took out the batting aggregate award with Archie Richards who made 227 runs, and yes that name again Jesse Moss taking 24 wickets at 4.29. Great work to the coach , Elisha Moss, well done Elisha !
